What’s new:

Have you been to a market in the Exchange District yet this year? There’s one coming up on June 10th, and here’s a hint: you’ll be able to find me there! Come visit, grab a smile, and maybe a new statement pendant or something from one of the other 49 vendors! There’ll be live music and food trucks too, so it’ll be a roaring good time.

About

Kira Koop is an artist, library sciences student, and maker from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her jewelry line, Made by Kira Koop, began as a result of procrastination from homework, but quickly developed into a satisfying method of expressing curiosity in clay and design.

Each of the pendants and earrings within the collection is made by hand from one of four types of clay and then glazed, with an emphasis on texture, natural colours, and the simplicity of the form. The chains and earring posts are gold or silver filled, which makes them more durable than plated materials, and are always nickel- and lead-free.
